Minister of Transport announces early completion of Manukau Harbour Crossing
26 February 2010
The Core team has just completed yet another successful event to host the Minister of Transport Hon Steven Joyce on behalf of the NZ Transport Agency. The minister announced some important news about the SH20 Manukau Harbour Crossing project - that it is on target to be completed and opened by the end of August this year, seven months ahead of its original completion date of March 2011.

This is great news for Auckland motorists; the $230M project will double the number of lanes on the Southwestern Motorway to eight lanes between Onehunga and Mangere. The new bridge will feature four southbound lanes, including one lane especially for local traffic. The existing bridge is being refurbished to carry four lanes for northbound traffic.

Core managed the event logistics before the event including speech writing for the minister and the NZTA Regional Director. On the day we liaised with print, TV and radio reporters to provide interviews and photographic opportunities.
